We will be placing Raina’s gravestone in early April. The custom is to place the stone of a parent eleven months after the death. If you might be able to join us, please email for more information.

Sometime within about a year we will travel to Italy to meet with friends and visit Philipp’s grave.

Lecture in Honor of Raina

There will be a lecture in honor of Raina at the University of Illinois in Urbana, during the school year 2010/2011. There is talk of a lecture series; perhaps in Italy, perhaps in London.

We will be hosting a Kiddush at the Hillel Foundation of Champaign & Urbana where Raina attended services.

Raina's Work

We plan to present excerpts of various works by Raina on this website, and to publish some. The last work completed by Raina was 'The Art of Mourning: Tombs of the Popes'.

Memorial Fund

There is a memorial fund in Raina’s name at the Weyauwega Arts Organization. This organization was started by Kathy Fehl and Ian Teal to encourage the development of new works in the theater, film, and other arts. Wega Arts is housed in an opera house built in 1915. Raina attended quite a few events and of course was very supportive and engaged by the project. The organization is a 501c3. Donations are tax deductible. Please visit
